Trump is the turning point in international politics

Written by journalist Sameh Selim, Member of the United States Press Agency

The United States of America is a superpower that influences international politics. Everyone is waiting. Everyone is anticipating the upcoming American presidential elections, and Europe and the Middle East are at the top.

It is the vibrant heart of the world in this vital, strategic region. Any disruption in this region affects the world’s economy and policies in the broad sense and not in the narrow sense within the borders of the strategic and geographical region.

So what if Trump wins, and this has become almost certain in conjunction and harmony with the rise of the European right or European nationalists who preserve their countries and peoples, and Trump belongs to this national policy that seeks internal construction and extinguishing the fires resulting from wars in the world and focusing on the economy, international cooperation, mutual interests, and self-interest. The American citizen, and therefore this political understanding or harmony between the United States and Europe, comes at the forefront of change in global politics on influential issues such as the disintegration of the European Union, the independence of countries in terms of security, and the closure of borders while maintaining economic cooperation and the unified currency. The second very sensitive point comes from NATO, the military arm of the European Union. Will the alliance disintegrate, or will its role diminish due to the continuation of the Russian-Ukrainian war of attrition and the economic, military, and security tragedies it has left behind for the European Union?

The issue of refugees and migrants is one of the results of the long, disastrous war between Russia and Ukraine, whether over the European Union or the United States.

Aman: The last two turning points in the event of Trump’s victory: the issue of Iran, the security of the Red Sea and the Suez Canal, and ending the war in Gaza. These two issues will be dealt with very firmly.

Finally, there is hope for peace in the Far East region, with the potential for a significant breakthrough in the relationship between the two neighboring Koreas.

This is how the vision of the next United States president and people will be presented to the world.
