America's Friends Return the Favor
By Sameh Salem- a member of the United States Press Agency
A return to the past, for history is unforgettable and cannot be erased from memory. The painful memory of the Gulf, after so many years, let the people of the Gulf region imagine that had it not been for the American military forces' stand against Saddam Hussein, the liberation of Kuwait in the First Gulf War and then the Second Iraq War, the control of American forces over the region, and the establishment of American military bases, the enormous cost borne by the American people, taxpayers, and the American military, who lost their lives or suffered injuries for the rest of their lives, would have been almost certain. This has caused a significant portion of the suffering of the American people and the American state, resulting in debt and a deficit in the American trade balance. The American people, taxpayers, and the American military, who sacrificed their lives, are the true heroes. Despite the departure of Saddam Hussein, Iranian threats to the Gulf region have continued and continue to this day, whether from Iran itself or its proxies that were and still are spread throughout the Middle East. The threats still exist, and the United States continues to deter. Here we imagine this region without the military and political intervention of the United States. That is why loyal friends always return the favor in times of hardship and economic distress that the United States is currently experiencing, and this in return. These countries also benefit from the transfer of American technology, military protection, political and economic support, and commercial companies, not only for the American president himself, but for the American state as a whole and for the American people. Thank you, Gulf countries.
