Honda recalls 200,000 vehicles over brake pedal failure
The Chinese State Administration for Market Regulation has reportedly said that Honda Motor Co., Ltd. will recall 200,000 hybrid cars.
Reuters reports that the recall is caused by a malfunction of the brake pedal sensors on some vehicles caused by lubricating oil.
The callback includes 105,608 hybrid cars produced by Honda's venture with Dongfeng Motor Group Co. from October 8, 2018, to September 7, 2020.
The recall includes 95,081 vehicles produced by Honda's partnership with Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. from August 27, 2018, to August 6, 2020.
The recall is scheduled to begin on March 31, 2023.
