Ph.D. thesis entitled: Factors Affecting on Levels of University Students' Interactivity with Video Journalism Programs through Social Networking Sites "An Applied study."


In the direction of the Faculty of Qualitative Education - Minya University, the doctoral thesis was discussed in a specialty (Educational Information "Radio and Television" for the researcher: Mahmoud Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed, which was entitled: Factors Affecting on Levels of University Students' Interactivity with Video Journalism Programs through Social Networking Sites "An Applied study."


The Committee of Supervisors was composed of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Moawad Ibrahim - Professor of Media and Child Culture at the College of Higher Studies for Childhood - Ain Shams University and Dean of the former Al Jazeera Higher Institute for Media, and Professor Dr. Iman Mohamed Ahmad, Assistant Professor of Radio and Television, Department of Educational Media, Faculty of Quality Education, University of Minya.

The researcher obtained a doctoral degree with the recommendation to circulate between Egyptian universities and affiliated scientific institutes. The Discussion and Governance Committee consisted of Professor Dr ./Mohammad Muawad Ibrahim- Professor of Information and Child Culture, Graduate School of Children - Ain Shams University and former Dean of Al Jazeera Higher Institute of Information, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hussein Mohamed Hassan, Professor of Educational Media, Department of Educational Media, Faculty of Quality Education, University of Mansoura, Professor Dr. Wael Salah Najib, Assistant Professor of Radio and Television and Head of the Educational Information Department, Faculty of Quality Education, University of Minya, Professor Dr. Iman Mohamed Ahmad, Assistant Professor of Radio and Television, Department of Educational Media, Faculty of Quality Education, University of Minya.

The study aims to reveal the Factors affecting the levels of interaction of university students with the issues studied in the study sample pages; The study uses the descriptive method In my style of analysis of the content and the scan of the sample as a tool for data collection. The analytical sample was in the pages My programme the first edition on Dream2, reading in the international press on France24 'Arabic' channel To analyse the contents of the issues under consideration and monitor the patterns of interaction around them, The sample includes 400 individuals of Students of my 'Cairo, Minya' Universities, The study results show: The members of the sample confirmed that political, cultural, social, religious, technical factors first affect the level of their interaction with the issues studied in the sample pages of the study, followed by the broadcast of the contents of the video live on a daily basis, and then the variables of social interaction to the public, followed by the presentation of topics published via video in a news form, and then influenced by other factors, The letter also recommended that media organizations should pay attention to and support interactive video journalism by training journalists in the use of modern digital techniques, mobil cameras, editing and production programmes and digital broadcasting techniques such as transmitters and receivers.and how digital studios should be operated, as well as the need to develop interactive video journalism programmes and use them to cover issues related to current events of public interest by increasing the area of live broadcasting and keeping pace with new technological developments and media applications.
