Various boosters. (CDC) recently announced new recommendations for booster shots for COVID-19.
Besides the Pfizer-BioNTech booster, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are now approved as boosters for some residents.
CDC guidelines state that for individuals who have received the Pfizer or Moderna, the following groups are eligible for a booster dose six months or more after the initial series:
• 65 years and over
• Age 18+ living in long-term care settings
• Age 18+ with if he has a medical conditions
• Age 18+ who work or live in high-risk locations
CDC states that booster shots for the nearly 15 million people who have received the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine are recommended for those 18 years of age or older who were vaccinated two months or more ago.
