The African Dream Is Becoming a Reality

For a long time, the African dream has been growing, yet it has remained unrealized. In the past, making this dream a reality seemed almost impossible because of political circumstances, geographical obstacles, and natural barriers, as well as endemic diseases, wild animals, civil wars in some regions, and the harsh, rainy tropical climate.

Anyone who can work in such a challenging African environment is undoubtedly a true hero. Despite today’s technological advances, which have made the task considerably easier by overcoming many of the engineering challenges and harsh natural conditions—including towering rocky mountains, high temperatures, and extreme humidity—the question remains: Who deserves the greatest credit: human beings, machines, or both together?

After all, machines cannot move on their own. The determination and ability of African people to realize this dream must come first, supported by strong political will that believes in and supports monumental projects such as Tanzania’s Julius Nyerere Hydropower and Dam Project.

On the other hand, we can look at Rwanda, which has become known as the Singapore of Africa. Dreams are not achieved through words alone, but through hard work and determination—first and foremost, the determination of the people, followed by political will. Kenya and Zambia have also preceded many other African nations on the path toward growth and prosperity.

Africa is currently the richest continent in the world in terms of natural resources. It possesses the natural and human resources necessary to achieve economic growth. However, what it still needs is training, experience, skills development, and access to modern technology in order to achieve its desired goals. In addition, many countries still lack the infrastructure necessary to provide their people with a better quality of life.

The coming days may bring many pleasant surprises, transforming Africa into a land of hopeful dreams and perhaps the best place in the world to begin a peaceful, stable, and secure life.

Dreams are gradually becoming reality—from Burkina Faso to Morocco, and from Egypt to South Africa.
