The concept of the superpower among the American voter
By Sameh Selim - Member of the American News Agency
The concept of superpower, as perceived by the American voter, is crucial in the current political landscape. This perspective, representing the majority of the American people, holds significant weight in the upcoming American elections, where the ordinary citizen's voice will play a pivotal role in shaping the nation's future.
Let us first define the superpower from the point of view of the American administration or the elite in American society, which seeks to rise to the highest political and military rank while achieving its interests without regard to other considerations sought by the majority of the American people. This also includes lavishing economic and military aid to other countries seeking to join the American fold or the mother country.
As for the definition of the superpower among the American voter or the ordinary citizen, it goes back to the idea of the social contract between the ruler and the ruled, and this is what matters to the ordinary citizen in terms of food, drink, a decent life, education, health, social security, internal security, good infrastructure, and other things. This is the true concept of the social contract, which makes there obligations on both parties that must be implemented, as well as foreign policy and military spending. The great wars are in second or third place for the simple American citizen. The deeper and more important question comes: Is the great state a nuclear military state only, or is the real great state the one whose people live in the height of luxury? Or is it the state that balances between its nuclear military power and the interests of the simple citizen at the same time? Will the idea of the social contract in the American federal system of government collapse, or will it change for the better, or will the American voter have another opinion in the upcoming elections?
