Wise women who ruled countries
By Mr. Sameh Selim: Member of the United States Press agency
Wise women in governance and international politics with knowledge, culture, and presence, and they are more capable than many men who could not bring their country to a state of superiority and political, economic, and developmental prosperity as women did, and there are many examples from several countries, the first of which is Margaret Thatcher, former British Prime Minister, or what is called the Iron Lady, which Britain had in Her reign has substantial political, economic and military weight, good and balanced relations, and Mrs. Angela Merkel, the German chancellor, who is characterized by calmness, self-confidence, political balance, outstanding performance, and humility. Then Mrs. Georgia Meloni, the current Prime Minister of Italy, appears to address the economic crisis and her adherence to nationalism. Then we moved on to Mrs. Kolinda, President of Croatia, who was her country's ambassador to The United States and spoke more than five languages.
Then we come to the African continent for the President of Tanzania, Mrs. Samia Hassan, who raised her country to become one of the most prestigious developing countries in East Africa, and also Mrs. Amina Gharib Fakim, the President of Mauritius, who Parliament elected.
The question arises whether men are incapable of such distinguished performance as women, and the truth is due to education, general culture, attendance, interest, studying history, political geography, tact, and speaking in languages. And the strength of endurance and calmness, yet no woman was nominated for Secretary-General of the United Nations, although the United Nations defends women's rights in various countries. Whoever can rule a country and manage her government's foreign policy can assume this high position.
