Florida is the state people always flock to and never leave, with its mild weather, gorgeous beaches, and plenty of excellent attractions. However, even Florida is feeling the results of market forces, which are increasing mortgage rates, driving up home prices, and thus driving people away. The Florida cities on this list show worrying signs that could indicate a housing crisis.

To find the Florida cities of concern, GOBankingRates looked at the 200 largest cities by total housing units and some critical factors like the percentage of mortgages that are 30 to 90 days delinquent and vacancy rates for homeowners and renters. Data were obtained from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Consumer Protection Bureau, and RealtyTrac. Here are seven who are most likely to end up in a housing crisis.

7. Pembroke Pines, Florida

The vacancy rate for homeowners: 0.9%

Delinquency percentage for 90-day mortgages: 0.7%


6. Hollywood, Florida

Homeowner vacancy rate: 1.6%

Delinquency percentage for 90-day mortgages: 0.6%


5. Jacksonville, Florida

Homeowner Vacancy Rate: 2.0%

Delinquency percentage for 90-day mortgages: 0.6%


4. Miami, Florida
