United Airlines gives each employee $1,000

United Airlines awards a bonus of $1,000 to each of its employees. Scott Kirby, CEO of the Chicago-based transportation company that employs nearly 67,000 people, announced the bonus plan yesterday during a ceremony in a hangar at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston to honor the company's 100 best employees from the previous year. Instead of celebrating 100 employees this year, Kirby announced that he would reward all employees for "exceptional work during 2020".
